FIGHT AGAINST RAPE ?? DO YOU !!
Last year, we all have witnessed a heinous crime against a woman in India. The country
still shivers what has caused to her, she was raped by six men on December 16,2012 in a
running bus, which they boarded at 9:30 pm after watching the movie ‘Life Of Pi’, first
they beat her And her companion and assaulted her sexually. The partially clothed victims
were found on the road by a passerby at 11pm (IST),the passerby phoned the Delhi Police and
from there they were taken to Safdarjung Hospital. Within 2 hours, this incident was aired as
Breaking News in India. Everyone was talking about it , people need answers for this but the
the government had none. Then the fight began, people were on the roads in order to seek
Justice for the brave girl who fought right till the end. Facebook and other social networking
sites proves to be a beneficial aid to awake the fury of the people. In order to stop protests government deployed forces, barricades on places so that public fury can be tamed. And,
In that tension they sent the victim for medical treatment to Singapore at Mount Elizabeth
Hospital on 27 Dec 2012 by stating her condition was critical. She died on 28 Dec 2012,
And her body was cremated on 30 Dec 2012 in Delhi. Before dying,in her interview she
wants her rapists to be burned in fire on the streets. But 1 of them hanged himself
In jail and another 4 faced the death sentence by the court, the juvenile,
the main accused, the main planner sentenced to 3 years juvenile detention in august in
2013.
After her death, the government came up with fast track courts to scrutinize this case
And to bring forward the punishment of the accused in light, it even came up with
The women helpline number, etc.. But doing so won’t bring her justice what we need a
strict laws against rapists, the law so powerful which make the words like rape, assault,
eve –teasing forbidden. To teach people about ethics, moral and feelings of those who
are raped.
I don’t know of the system, i.e. how government works, but it hurts a lot when our mothers,
sisters are raped. It is my fight,it is your fight, it is our fight to settle it once in for all otherwise
will get worse with the passage of time. I know for a big time change is essential, but if we all
