US Government Settles Case Over Fake Facebook Profile:The Justice Department has arrived at a $134,000 (generally Rs. 81 lakhs) settlement with a New York lady after government drug operators utilized data from her cellphone to set up a fake Facebook page in her name.
The settlement with Sondra Arquiett was uncovered in court papers Tuesday, months after a judge alluded both sides into intercession.
It takes after disclosures that the Drug Enforcement Administration took photographs and other data from Arquiett's cellphone to make a fake Facebook page with expectations of deceiving her companions and partners into uncovering implicating medication mysteries. Arquiett had prior been captured in a cocaine case and was sentenced in 2012 to time served and given a time of home constrainment.
Arquiett sued the central government a year ago. The Justice Department at first protected the practice however later declared a survey.
